FILMING & PHOTOGAPHY PERMISSIONS
FOR THE SHRINES UNDER THE CARE OFTHE
FRANCISCAN CUSTODY OF THE HOLY LAND

The conditions are as follows:

1. Submit your filming project with a covering letter to the CIC.
   at least 7 working days in advance. To Fax number: 02-6286417
   or email: filmingpermission@cicts.org



2. After the Director’s decision you will be provided with a written permission
   which should be presented to the Father in charge of each single Shrine.
   To pick up the written permission an appointment must be coordinated
   with the office.



3. The crew must contact the Father in charge of each single Shrine
   at least a day before to assure date, time or any other arrangement.



4. A fee of $100.00 has to be paid in each Shrine to the Father in charge
   (receipt is given upon payment).



5. For the Holy Sepulchre (Jerusalem) and the Basilica of the Nativity
   (Bethlehem), separate written permission is required from:


1. Christian Information Centre: a fee of $100 should be paid to the
   C.I.C. for each of the above mentioned Shrines.
2. Greek Orthodox Patriarchate: a fee of $100 should be paid to the
   Greek Orthodox Patriarchate for each of the above
   mentioned Shrines.
3. Armenian Orthodox Patriarchate: a fee of $100 should be paid to the
   Armenian Patriarchate for each of the above mentioned Shrines.

Your deposit cannot be refunded.

6. Permission to film inside the Tomb area in Dominus Flevit is forbidden
   without special permission.
7. Please remember:
   1. The Holy Shrines are places of silence and prayer ,
      they may not be treated as museums or tourist amenities, neither
      for any other secular reason. Modest dress is a requirement.
   2. Filming during religious functions is not allowed.
   3. Filming human scenes or read portions of texts or interviewing are
      strictly forbidden.
   4. A copy of each video cassette made in the Shrines
      should be given to the CIC.

8. For the Annunciation Church in Nazareth filming must be first coordinated with the superior before we can issue a permission.
9. The Christian Information Centre reserves the right to cancel the issued
   permission at any time for non compliance with the above stated
   regulations.
10. For the midnight Mass 2009 in the Church of St. Catherine on Christmas
    Eve from 2200 on the 24th until 0230 25th of December, 2009, no
    professional still photographers will be permitted inside the Church of
    St Catherine or in the grotto of the Nativity during the procession, except
    for the pool, which is being organized by the FPA (foreign press
    association). Also, No Video Photographers will be permitted because
    there is a Video pool organized by Palestinian Broadcasting Company.
