The Ascension of the Lord into Heaven is celebrated on Thursday, 9 May 2024.
The celebrations of the Franciscan Custody begin on 8 May at the Chapel of the Ascension on the Mount of Olives at 16:00 with the Entry of the Vicar, followed by 1st Vespers at 16:30; Compline at 18:00 and the Vigil at 23:00.
There is the possibility of Mass every half hour throughout the night; On 9 May, the Mass in Arabic is at 8:00 and the Solemn Mass is at 9:30.
